Andrea L. Valcuha

Little Notes Music School Randolph, NJ

Is the owner and director of the Little Notes Music School. Her love for music and the need for passing her passion on to students of all ages and ability levels became the main philosophy of the Little Notes Music School. She has a Master's Degree in Liberal Arts and Science and Musical Education from the University of Presov, Slovakia. Andrea has over 15 years of teaching experience in violin, viola, cello, string orchestra, and piano. One of her specialties is working with very young beginners, ages 3 to 6, in violin and piano. She also works with children with special needs: ADD, ADHD, Autism, and Music Synesthesia are all part of her teaching expertise. She continues her education by attending workshops, seminars and national conferences. As a member of ASTA (American String Teachers Association) she holds a certificate in Solo Adjudication. Recently she has been working on her Kindermusik Licence. She is also a very active musician and performs all over the USA.

Seth Mandel

Has been teaching at Little Notes for 6 years. He is well known for an exceptionally sensitive way of teaching young adults and mature learners on guitar, mandolin, piano, keyboard, violin, electric violin, trumpet, music theory, song writing and rock band music. He studied at Rutgers University and County College of Morris in New Jersey. Seth is currently pursuing his teaching degree at Montclair State University. He also performs in a variety of bands and groups in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Maros Kocerha

Little Notes Music School Randolph, NJ

Is our teacher for advanced level piano students. Maros has been a very important member of our school for 6 years now. His style of teaching—analyzing, paying attention to the details and following through make his teaching style very effective and unique. He holds a Master's Degree from the Technical University of Kosice, Slovakia and a Performance of Arts Degree from Adelphi University, NY in Piano and Music Theory. He is also a General Manager at Astoria Soundworks, music rehearsal studios, Astoria, NY. Besides managing and teaching he is a performer too. His teaching experiences include:  piano, keyboard, cimbalom (hammered dulcimer), accordion, guitar, music theory, composition, recording and rock music.

Jacqueline K. Leiva

Is a Trenton State College graduate with Vocal Concentration. She has gained her teaching experience from numerous elementary and middle schools all over NJ and from her private students. As a performer she utilizes strengths gained from vocal experience, and as a teacher she is able to fix any vocal problems and her students catch her enthusiasm over a piece of music. Jacquie is experienced in teaching vocals and piano and still very active as a singer outside of Little Notes.

Michael Yaw

He is proficient in drum set, percussion, keyboard, piano, steel drum, music theory and composition. He graduated from Governor's School of the Arts at The College of NJ in Classical Percussion, the Manhattan School of Music Pre-college Division in NY for Jazz Drums, and studied at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Michael is an experienced teacher and very active performer. These qualities are nurtured and used in the Jazz Jam Band that is being lead by him at Little Notes.

Marco Antonio Vergara II

Graduate of California State University Long Beach, Bob Cole Conservatory of Music—Music Education and Music in Vocal Performance. Since then he has taught at Patric's Music School in California and taught Choral Music at Orange High School in California. Marco relates well to students of all ages. He is a singer and proficient musician on saxophone, clarinet and piano.

Justin F. Michael

A young and very energetic guitarist who graduated from Ramapo College of New Jersey, Mahwah in Guitar, and continues his studies at S.U.N.Y. New Platz, NY majoring in Jazz Guitar. He can lead jazz, rock, blues, and fusion bands; and play and teach acoustic, electric, bass guitars and piano. He is flexible in any style and type of music.
